    10 core cable?

Has anyone run across a source for this cable?

I'm after some to rewire my No 5 trailer and need the thick original type cable to keep it original and have enough wires for the blackout lights, aux power etc.

The normal 7 core stuff is way too thin for the socket as well.

I was wondering if trucks etc. use something similar?

    Cheers,

    Mike.

the mil spec white core stuff is an aviation cable, as are the plugs and sockets. its available but pricey as hell

I know 12 core is available from some truck supply places and many places that do industrial control installations type work

as 2 examples of alternative supply (they're bulk supply links tho but will give you an idea of the kind of places you should try)

    Thanks Dave,

    I'll look into it.

Do you happen to know who manufactures / supplies the mil spec stuff?

I only need about 5 metres, so I'll try them if I can find the manufacturer / supplier.

    Cheers,

    Mike.

Just an update in case anyone else needs some of this cable,

I got some 11 core + earth cable from my local electrical supply mob. (Middys)

They had to order it in, and they list it as 'Cable rubber flex 1.5mm 11 core + earth submersible'.

It has an Ozoflex mark on the outside.

I didn't really need the 12 cores, but this cable is the right diameter to fit the NATO plug for a tight seal, and looks original.

The best bit is, all of my lights now work, including the blackouts, and there are even some spare cores!

    Cheers,

    Mike.
