Just spotted this trailer coming up in tomorrows Mannheim auctions here in Darwin- I figure it predates the No5s- being 1959 n all- but I am intrigued by the cammo paint job- maybe it was something lost in army yard for yonks-but why give it a paint job? apart from needing a new floor it looks in good nick- any ideas out there? Its a trailer sometimes called a Humber trailer. It's 1 Ton capacity mostly built by Corio Engineering in Victoria and after disposal of the Humber trucks were used behind the International Mk3 and Mk4. The round mudguards are unusual as most had been retrofitted with flat top guards.
I believe they were based upon a Brit design, perhaps Brockhouse, who did have round guards.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
seems it still has the military plug as well-so possibly has lingered in mil ownership until recent times when someone decided to clean up the back yard . Mannheims sometimes still get odd bits of Defence stuff to offload even though Greysonline get the bulk
