These will most likely be No.5 half ton trailers, without brakes and Series Land Rover track.

Australian Frontline Machinery at Minto NSW, stamped the 1985 VIN on all the first few batches of No.5 trailers that went through the auctions although the actual (original) manufacture dates were mostly in the mid to late 1960's

No, their not no. 5 trailers, they have hydraulic override brakes and a 1500kg GVM.. Pretty sure one has "groump and Cornish' on it..

Although I'm not a fan of the Crump and Cornish, IMHO the drawbar is too short.

IIRC Mick Marsh likes them.

Agreed, I had a look at them today and they seem like a big high box with a short stumpy drawbar..

The amount of times a tradie has said "Nice trailer, want to sell it to me?" and then walking away disinterested after I advise how much they should expect to pay.
These are not a $300 trailer. Good luck if you pick one up for that little.
The one ton cargo trailer is a great trailer for carting stuff around, like wood.

The problem with using it for camping is it is too wide for a 4x4 Perentie (2m)(6x6 Perentie shown)


and the spring pack is way too stiff.

Aaarrgghh - too short notice. I'd love to get my mitts on a Crump & Cornish. Be great to hitch behind the 101FC. Not sure how I'd get it across to WA.
