Think I'll get a Mog, they're cheaper.
Wish the page would load for me :-(
Working now...
Once you put on the GST,then another 6%,sure adds up:(
Might have a look at the actions in vic tomorrow for something to do.
See what all the fuss is about that surveillance 110.
yeah we called past for a bit of a sticky beak.
This is the first time I have been one of the auctions.
I must say I was a little underwhelmed. The 110's looked like they have had a pretty hard life with caved in wing tops, terrible looking paint and worn out holey canvas. The best looking one being the Regional Surveillance one which went for a whopping $21,809 (before gst and buyers premium) which is far more then I would be prepared to pay.
I'm not sure if this was a particularly rough lot but they weren't quite what I expected.
the 6x6's were in top shape though. I can't believe how solid the trays are made! They have some seriously thick steal in them. They must weigh a tonne! The cab is quite roomy too. Would make an amazing camper.
All in all I walked in thinking "I really want to buy one of these one day" and walked out thinking "now I'm not too sure..."
The rear bodies were made by Hockney Alcan from 25mm Aluminium, not steel, but yes strong, they are a ROPS roll over structure.
Not the best choice as a camper though. Turning circle to match a supertanker. Interior noise over 80Km/h that begs earplugs/muffs, 20Lt/100Km fuel economy and atrocious rear suspension articulation. Your around Aust trip will soon become a conversation free, music free, expensive bore. But the ride and handling is fantastic!
