Ah, yes. I remember getting a quote from them, and I actually thought that it was for purchasing one of their trucks!

And heaven help you if you what you want to transport has so much as an empty box in there, or if the vehicle is immobilised......

What does a Jetstar ticket to Sydney and a train to Minto cost anyway. The Airport line runs to Minto. Network map - CityRail

Thanks for that. Looks like I will have to plan a trip. One would like to think they would be up for a 1200km + road trip.

I also have a question regarding payment which I cannot find the answer for on their website. When placing a bid, they require credit card details and I understand that typically Graysonline charges the credit card as soon as the auction is won. However, most people wouldnt have limits on their cards in the order of $10k-15K....
Is there a way to pay a deposit only via cc and pay the balance on pickup?

I had a look at this lot on Saturday. Their 'Order of sale' list says, 'PAYMENT: To purchase via Online Auction you must register with a valid credit card. For invoices totalling less than $5000 your credit card will be automatically debited. For invoices totalling more than $5000 payment by bank direct deposit or bank cheque is required'.

I've counted around 60 Land Rover 110's sold or currently on offer, and the prices seem to be off the boil a bit too. With around 2000 units to go it'll be interesting to see what happens....

G'day Mick. Why? Because, IF the LRPVs come to auction, there will be GLOBAL interest! I predict a fair condition one will fetch ~$35000 due to the unwelcome high profile that the 'Devil Cars' gained since Slipper and Falconer.

PS all, when I say build one, I mean a replica, NOT a pretender

I picked one up in the last lot, You will need a credit card to register an account with Greys
I signed up with a debit visa with zero funds in it

They will send you the details for the direct deposit after you have the winning bid

The ambo got about that. I'd expect your estimate to be on the money.
Is there not global interest already?

Yes Mate. They could go for double that depending on which BIG collectors have reps there. I considered condition vs desirability in price. They will have a lot more than the 30-50K km that the Bloodboxes had.

I am really interested in bidding on one of the incomplete 110's for restoration but as they are not able to be driven and no blue slip I would have to organise a tilt tray or similar to collect and deliver to a transport company who would transport it in this condition. I'm guessing no one would accept it for transport in this condition. Anyone in the Sydney area have any suggestions or ideas on how I could organise this from here (Central Qld coast).

Try talking to one of the car carriers as they may do it when taking a part load to one of your local dealers. A semi holds 6-7 cars and they may only have an order for 4 or 5 so could winch the LR onto the back spot.
Other option would be to buy both the one you want to repair and another to tow it home , say a 6x6 turbo Isuzu.

Find Loads and Trucks from Freight Load Factoring Company, Australia

You may have to pay for a tilt tray at each end if it's still on wheels.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
