Im trying to find an answer to getting a no5 trailer, they never seem to appear in Perth's auctions.

Try contacting B52 on the REMLR forum, he had the same problem and bought numerous ones in Sydney and trailered them home. I picked them up from Minto and stored them for him. We managed to fit three on the one car trailer by dismantling one.

I know he on-sold a couple of trailers so may still have a spare.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    April minto auction

Anyone going to the inspection today or next week? Ive just been. A lot of 6x6 on offer and a few atv's but pretty disappointed with the 4x4 range. Only 3 lr's, one hard top that was in decent condition but im sure will go for a lot, one with canvas removed and a lot of klms. The third looked ok. Noticed a leak from the t-case, a rust repair in the drivers side firewall, a lot of silicone and some spray paint over it. Dint in the gbox crossmember and surface rust on all suspension components. Doesn't appear to have been threw the tenix program, a nice example though for sale parked on the street out front. 19,000 klms and selling with trailer. Unfortunately out of my price range but a good spot to advertise a perentie for sale

The rusty springs, does it indicate salt water use?

I only had a look at one turbo motor. Looked cleaner than the rest but i didn't grab the lot number.
Any ideas why the motors are out of vehicles? Because of age and uneconomical to rebuild or because they are dead??

I have no knowledge the ones that are being sold through AF M

But it has occurred to me that they were pulled out of the vehicles for a reason, it could've been that they weren't working correctly or they were broken or it came out of a writeoff. In any case if it was cheap and you put a rebuild kit through it, if you are lucky it could be a good starting point.

There is only a very limited number being offered at this auction Ashley, it could be better if you hang onto your money and see if there is better offerings in the next couple of months.

Could you please let us know what the asking price was for the Perentie and trailer being offered for sale outside AFM - thanks

Yeah it seems like I will need to wait.
The guy was asking for $18,000 with the trailer. It's registered and i think he said it came with a roadworthy cert.
Hopefully the May auction presents a larger range. I feel as though if there is not much on offer then impulse kicks in and the prices climb higher
