The auction is apparently on the orders of "a major bank". Easy to jump to a conclusion, correct or otherwise, from that.

There is a couple of threads floating around that might go into more detail, or just speculation.

Hi All, the auction at graysonline today, has Isuzu 4BD1 4 Cylinder, 3.9 Litre engines and transmission/box's. I was hoping of trying to get a few spares for the rfsv perenti...but are the engines the same models regardless of the power built in steering for the rfsv?

the body doors and panels parts will be the same, I think rear diffs are different, the front diffs might be the same.
hopefully the engines are in ok condition.

Hi Robbo, The 4x4 engines are all the same except as you note with the PS pump on some, which will have come from RFSV's. Gearboxes are all interchangeable, note the RFSV variant has a lower ratio (and speed) hi range gears but there is no way of telling this box by appearance or serial number - you have to drop the sump and check the gear tooth count to find out. Rear diffs are the same and interchangeable except for disc brakes on the RFSV one. Front diffs are different (stronger housing and CW carrier in the RFSV) but are interchangeable. Unless you can identify that the item is new, you have to assume that it is used (as they describe everything) and probably will have a problem/fault. I have bought a few of the gearboxes and a front axle and every one I have looked at so far (3 boxes and the axle) have needed extensive repairs) so you have to bid accordingly with this in mind and what freight is going to cost to get it to where you live. You may get a good one hopefully!
    Cheers......Brian

There's a fair bit of interest in the Michy tyres. Be interesting to see how much they go for. I think it was mentioned somewhere that they are old stock but can anyone confirm this by the codes on the tyres.

The Michelins can't be that old as they replaced the Olympic Steeltreks. Maybe they have been in storage for a while but I don't think the have been in service more than 10 years.

2 SF Surveillance vehicles at Minto, it will be interesting to see what they go for. I suspect they have had a hard service life and would be interested to hear from anyone that gets a chance to inspect. Once again WA misses out.

Please don't tell me they are selling LRPVs...... I don't have the money and didn't think they were going to be auctioned.
