    Smile Buyers premium notice thanks

Thanks for highlighting the higher premium being charged, its something that I didn't look at up to now as I had assumed all the vehicles had the standard 6%. Went to inspect the 6x6's in Adelaide twice in the last few days, the ambulance especially as it was the first one i have seen here, glad i did have lots of time to crawl over and under it, between the showers of rain, now having second thoughts of its suitability as a camper, not much room to fit extra fuel and water tanks. Does anyone know how much that fibreglass body weighs? Might look at one of the tray top models instead. Five hours before the auction closes and the prices are relatively low compared to previous auctions, mind you some of the vehicles are pretty average, the 4x4's on the other hand seem to be quite high. Does anyone have any idea why the 6x6's are lagging behind previous auctions or do you think their novelty value is wearing off, i must admit that i did bring the calculator out after the announcement that the fuel levy is rising. In the mean time i will keep looking. Thanks again for posting that warning, AULRO members have highlighted several interesting details that will save me a few dollars, keep up the good work.

I would suggest that you check out the vehicles TARE weight as against the GVM and check your license class,I would say a class 3 (light/medium rigid) would see you OK as a fully loaded 6x6 will go 5 tonnes

Not sure about other states but in Vic you need a Light Rigid licence for the 6x6 as the GVM is over 4.5 tonnes.

Not sure why the prices are low - good news for me for later on by the sounds of it.

So, I missed the end - what sort of prices did the 110's and 6x6's go for?

    Most 6x6's went for mid 15's & most 4x4 mid 7-8's
You can set up a favourites folder & save all the individual web pages & view the final results post auction, bid history & all.
Here is the 6x6 dual cab page for example
Land Rover 110 6X6 Crew Cab Hard Top with Soft Top Tray 10/1991 Auction (0013-5010301) | GraysOnline Australia

They are all still there, here is one from a Nov 2013 folder I have kept

Land Rover 4X4 Soft Top Auction (0014-3004172) | GraysOnline Australia

Thanks for that. The only problem with what you have suggested is that it would require some effort...

And, I'd have to do that on a laptop or computer - I only use an ipad for personal stuff. I have a work laptop, but I don't use that for anything but work.

It would appear Some people have got the Minto auctions confused with the Morebank auctions.

They weren't AFM auctions. Yes I know you know that but there are others who have difficulty distinguishing the difference.

That's 6% at the Minto AFM auctions.

Sorry for hijack, but does anyone know if there are any more of the 6X6 dual cabs yet to be auctioned?

I may be dreaming... But there is a 105 series in the drive that is going to be sacrificed for the starting point of my "let's take winter 2015 off and do the lap" family tourer.
    Hoo-Roo,

    Dave.
