    ARN 170 437 Mk3 Inter

    Hi Guys

Just thought I would update everyone on REMLR.

I have purchased a Mk3 International ex-RFS with a Diesel engine transplant which is under restoration from a full fire tanker back to a GS.

    Piccys in order from pre-purchase.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Moved to temporary home at Colo Heights

The vehicle was purchased then moved to a temporary home at Colo Heights where the RFS bodywork is being removed.

The rear hinge bracket for the RFS tricycle mount system on tankers. (Saves the tank from splitting it's bottom.)

Removal of the tool boxes and flame shields begins.

Testing my Mack tarp on a friends Mk4 (Thanks for the tarp Hodgo! )

That's the head and side of "Roughie" hiding at the back of the Mk4. Thanks for your assistance Steve D

Diana, are you keeping the japanese diesel, that I seem to remember as being installed in that truck? By the way, if you want to sell the fire truck body, I may have a buyer. Regards Paul.

It's an Isuzu 6BB1 and yes I'll be keeping it for the time being at least. Makes me think I have a Perentie and will be more efficient to go to Corowa and places like that.

All the fire fighting gear, hose reels, tank and pump has gone before the sale. The heat shields wont be much good after they are cut off. Warwick Lord has the fire fighting equipment if you want to contact him.

Just typing out the paperwork for Rego on my Mk3.

Is the Chassis number "4X4 - 566" as in the above image? Or is there the letters "ADE" somewhere?

    What is the model designation?

Is the military weight designation/classification the same as the civilian one?

No piccys today, however all the RFS superstructure is now gone. Just the grinding back of the daggs and removing some of the redundant pipework, then I can commence work on the paint.
