Thread: how many Triumph fans do we have?

I'm still running a 1975 T160 Trident I bought brand new still in its crate in 1977[no one wanted them then ,along with its mate the Norton Commando]
Have added the retro Ducati Sport 1000 to the stable[only as an investment,at least that was the argument I used to convince the missus that I needed it]
I think this may be my first post,will see if I have got it right.

T595 Daytona owner here, love the torque and handling.

I've had two Triumph's, 1970 650 Trophy and a 1973 750 Tiger, both great bikes, would I buy a new one, maybe a Bonny replica, I'd much prefer a BMW though.

I had a 1994 Triumph Sprint that I bought new. Had it fir a while, did almost everything on it, from touring to track days to rallies. Was jack of all, master of none. I eventually had a sidecar fitted and rode it like that until the kids grew, needing a bigger sidecar, therefore needing a bigger bike, so it was sold to make way for my 1200 Bandit with double sidecar.

Would I have one again? Probably not. There are better bikes around now, but I have no need or desire for two wheels at the moment. I ride at work all the time, so the last thing I feel like doing is riding on weekends. Two wheels work, three wheels play.

Used to have a 955 Daytona which unfortunately met a bad end thanks to a taxi and a '66 Bonnie which in hindsight I should never have sold, but what do you do? I can always buy another one

I'm not really a "Triumph guy" but they have certainly made some excellent motorcycles over the years.

thought I would share a short story from my weekend.

I rode around to my brothers place (he lives in a uni complex) parked int he visitor section and went out for the night. when we returned (around 1am) there was a white box on my tank.

at first I was angry thinking someone thought my bike was a trash can, but when i had a look it was a package that read

"Merry (early) Xmas from another tripple fan (my 2012 Street triple was stolen last year the day this was deliverd to me)"

it made my day to know that there are decent people left in the world and that another triumph fan was near by.

turned out to be a Fender eliminator kit or tail tidy whichever you call them.

anyway here are some photos I wish they left there name or something so I could thank them!!

haha, nope, just my Garage, re carpeted the house so what better use for the carpet than the Garage?
