My last bike was the Suzuki GT750 Water Wagon, previous to that I'd had the 125cc, the 250cc and the GT500. I guess I liked Suzuki's reliability

As a youngster in the 70's I always thought this would have been the ultimate machine to own.

My next bike (when funds will allow for such a toy) before I'm too old and decrepid will have to be one of these. Now I just happen to know where one is parked next to an old '30s Harley

1947 Indian - beautiful

Besides my 500cc Manx Norton and other short circuit racing BSA's, AJS's, I owned a beautiful 1938 500cc Excelsior Manxman factory built for the isle of man tt. Same as pic below. I liked to take it out to ride on club days.

Owned my first bike at age eleven, it was an Acme, of course it was stripped down to be a racer and I used to ride it everywhere including over to the old Winstanes track down in the scrub behind the farm and pretend I was Tony MacCalpine, great fun.
My first legal registered road bike when I got my licence was a 1948 500cc AJS, same as pic. I loved it even tho the brakes mostly didn't work.
Then Betty RIP and I got a 56 thunder bird and for her a Tiger Ten.
Seems a lifetime ago.

Yeah Jerry, back in the early 1950's my father used to own a BSA Bantam. He used to ride it to work. He took me around the block a couple of times on the back of it. I was only a ankle biter at the time. He told me that when he was a young man, back in the 1930's he used to ride an Indian motorbike. I don't know which model, he didn't elaborate.

This is a nod to my Granpop on mums side. Bikes have always been in my family & I grew up with story's of Nan riding sidesaddle pillion behind Pop on his Douglas around the Manning River region of NSW.
Then my dad making a sidecar with an old tea box ( on an Easy Two Norton ) to help carry the kids before my parents could afford a car.
My eldest Brother not going to sleep unless Dad would start the bike & nurse him on it ( spoilt brat ).
I still work in the industry but have to admit I find a lot of bike riders today are such tossers, but I still love the bikes.
So who's excited about the TT!
