Bit of an update, rebuilt the calipers, after a lot of swearing trying to slide the bolts through without destroying the O rings, lucky I had spares.
Found a mob to get some new fork tubes, $125 a pair, made by EMGO, from the USA, a new set from a local supplier near home is $499 a pair, what makes me angry about this price, is that he has the same inner fork tubes selling for $299 marked as Z1 Z900:twisted:
Or re-chromed for $350 the pair in Sydney.
S the ones from the US allowes me to buy some more bits I really need to finish this restoration, like wheel and steering head bearings.
Of the 3 sets of fork tubes I have, not one of them had no pitting around the seal area, I'm hoping I can save the top nut of the fork tube, at $70 for a pair of reproductions, it a little saving to go towards other more important parts and forget about OEM they are anything from $150 up to $350.
All the internals are good, just some new fork oil should be fine, I picked the two best lower legs, just need a bit of a polish and should be all good.
