Welcome back.
I had noticed you had been a bit quiet.
I reckon this could have been an expensive return, especially if you were up for a new suit, helmet, boots etc!
Good Luck with it.
Steve
Been away from AULRO for a while and thought I would share what I am now up to. The kids are now older, and commitment to coaching football is at an end, so I have returned to something for me.
20 years ago, bikes were my life. Racing was everything. Then I lost a licence or 2 for a long stretch, met girl, had some kids and the bikes have been shuffled around the shed while more family friendly pursuits such as 4wd's attempted to fill the void. So after a real long time off any bike, I dove straight back into racing, don't even have a bike on the road yet.

I'd love to get back into racing again, as a bit of fun, dunno if I would have the time though, or the money.
I hardly ever road my road bike while I was racing, I think I road it once in 4yrs, ended up selling it, so I wouldn't worry too much about having a road bike, when you stop racing, buy one then.
I'm back touring again on a bike, amazing how much I missed it, I'm loving it, on the weekends I'm not riding, I'm tinkering with my restoration project.
Have fun with it.
Cheers Baz.

Great to see you back CC. Love your race number.
Live the dream, have a blast.
Oh, just in case you haven't a clue who Homestar is - I've changed my name for a while - AKA - Bacicat.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
Thanks guys. I don't even think I logged in here for 2 years. Inc could prob confirm that, though I have seen him inbetween😄
Yes Saitch, an expensive return. Even had to buy the bikes, 3 of them in fact, and 2 of everything else. All I will say is Gumtree and eBay are your friends.
My bikes I already had are like the following, though require a little bit of tlc before I trial/track/road them is order
1967 350cc Bultaco Sherpa T
1981 RD350lc
1986 Moto Guzzi V65SP
Baz, just do it. You don't need the latest and greatest, and you can only go as fast as you can afford. Pick up a Honda mc22, race P6 historics and club. Cheap as.
As for the race # Well, it's all about the mutual pleasureOh, and it looks the same when the bike is upside down
And it is Colonel Coleman racing too

I recognise the pits at Morgan Park...
250 class is heaps of fun, and close to as cheap as motor racing gets.
I raced for a year in the Formula 400 class, with a VFR400 (still half-owned with a mate who still races it).
Best I got was a 3rd in one race - but one year isn't very long to go racing.
So much fun... I'm jealous.
Hi Col,
We run the 4 round for 2016 QR-FX club level race series at Queensland Raceway. After speaking with the QEMS guys we will be running a subclass for CBR250's and a separate 400 class at our events.
There is over $20,000 in series prizes and every competitor gets equally point scored through their class results for the series prizes, meaning anyone can win the prizes not just the fastest A graders on ZX10R's
If your interested Col we can send you the Sup Regs to check out. The first round is in 4 weeks time and it is a half day (afternoon) Saturday, full day Sunday event. Each class gets four races and a qualifying session Sunday and on Saturday three practice sessions. The Saturday is not mandatory by the way.
Let me know if you are interested
cheers Terry
Cheers,
Terry
