Lane filtering doesnt worry me in the slightest so long as I don't get the side of the car hit - Its never been a problem.

I was sort of hoping no offence not to go down the pushie route due to some passionate feelings of some around here but yes i hear ya

Its exactly the same mentality.

There are times I can't lane filter.

I remember whan I used to commute in Sydney.
I had one woman abuse me while talikng on a mobile phone and eating, and another tried to kill me and actually hit my leg with his bumper on takeoff. It was illegal back then so I couldn't tell the cops.
One bloke got out of his car when I was behind him not filtering and abused me for having my headlight on, as it was dazzling in his RV mirror. Honda Hornet 900s had hard wired headlights. He then chased me so I had to filter moving traffic.
Good old Sydney.

That guy should be taken off the road as should his passenger. The 2 of them were treating it as sport.
Personally i do the opposite and move over to let the bikes through when in the car.
Never have i been held up by a motorcycle in front of me so whats the point in trying to keep them behind me.
Being rear ended is a real problem for bikes but its amazing how many cars i see running the red. Bikes and cars taking off quickly when the lights go green run the risk of being collected by those idiots also.

Yep. I never blast off from the lights without checking the cars have stopped or are obviously stopping. I see red light runners every day.

Its a fine line between being safe and not ****ing off the car your about to burn off from the lights.
1 rule i have is never to get in front of a tradie ute especially if they have P plates. Those guys are worse than Black BMW's and White Audi's.Thats saying something!!
