Just started out on a bike for the first time [on bitumen] a bit over a year ago, and have now graduated from a Suzuki GS500 to a Bandit 1250SA. I'm finding the bigger bike to be surprisingly user-friendly for a noobee such as myself.

This is 'Black Betty'. She's my 2005 R1150 GS Adventure. Been riding since I was 14. I'm 54 now Betty is by far the most versatile and capable bike I've ever owned, and there have been more than a few. I little quicker than the 300 Tdi Disco as well

Maybe we could arrange an Aulro two wheeled get together?

When these first came out I took one for a test ride - first bike I have ever been on that scarred me, found my self doing monos without trying. Read a review that called it a "stupid bike" as you would find your self doing burn outs and monos on a regular basis, including with a pillion. I think the next years model came out with a different cam to tame it down a bit.

I am looking very keenly at the new Moto-Guzzi Eldorado at the moment. Anyone have an opinion on Moto-Guzzis.
