stuff that, I envy people who can get in there and make sense of all that. I'd be lost the minute the door was opened.![]()
Bob the brickies rod, just a quick wire up to get the engine running, left the loom in a mess as he's tidying up, just needed the technical bit done

mainly the rover stuff but a couple of holdens one ford and a handfull of repowers into trucks.
is it a drop in kit with everything pre loomed or are you making the efi side of the loom from scratch?
Mainly Ive done drop in stuff or swapped whole assemblies into different vehicles and have always had the advantage of having the wiring diagram and schematics on hand to nut it out with. Once youve got that its a case of time and patients as you lay the loom. An audible continuity tester with a long lead and a set of test clips/pins is likely to be your best friend in the early stages if its a multi segment loom

Im a really big fan of the short throw looms...
the different parts of the harness come premade and strapped for the engine and have about a 12 inch fly lead on them down the back with a multi plug on it. The kit contains the other side of all the relevent multi plugs and all the pinning you need to set it up.
Drop engine in, clip the short throw looms to the fire wall, place the ECU and gauges where you want them and then wire the plugs to suit. Engine outs become as simple as disconect 2 multi plugs, disconnect the main starter lead and then unbolt the donk.
