hey all, my neighbour is rebuilding an old BSA bike. It has banjo fittings and bolts on the oil line. looks like a simple metal - metal, tapered seal. IS this the case? do you put any hymolar or the like on them?

    cheers,

ok, Im not quite getting this??? His set up is, a small length of pipe, say 1/4, with a banjo fitting brazed on each end. The bolt has a hole in the smooth shank where it is inside the fitting, the face/edge of the bolt is taperd and so is the face of the banjo..

So, tape on the tread? washers on the face of the fitting/bolt???
