Me I probably wouldn't worry about it as it will only be a small % of total volume. Will just stink

Checking out the Tractor the other day (Kubota B7100 )
Engine oil half away down dipstick so grabbed a 5l container of Valvoline diesel oil, started to pour in top of engine & Uh OHH ,
I realised when I changed the Defender diff oil I decanted it into a empty oil container , which is the oil I tipped into the Kubota engine. I'd have put in about 150ml -200 ml before I realised.
I didn't think It would matter with only a small amount but every time I drive the tractor now I can smell the pungent odour of gear oil, mind you the engine dosent rattle as much.
any ideas if this is going to be a problem or should I drain it asap
thanks Don

I would change the oil and filter/s, Kubota engine are horrendously expensive to repair, I just rebuilt a kubota bob cat motor and it cost over $6K just for the short block rebuild, Regards Frank.
I'm with Frank, for the sake of some engine oil and a filter it's the contaminates/crap that were in your gear oil and now in the engine I'd be most worried about.
Thanks, jobs done.
While I was at it I replaced fuel / air /oil & hyd filters
and new oil all over.
it now runs like its been chipped. (The air filter was very dirty)
For the capacity, later models are higher HP rated, so I reckon it needs some lovin with the fuel pump and maybe the cam
I do want to extend the spark arrestor inside the muffler as it's only about 3" long, just a piece of perforated tube wrapped with some stainless gauze.
Double the length would help, I'm not game to make it disappear altogether as has happened to some saws and brushcutters near here![]()
