Someone needs a 3/4" or 1" drive breaker bar and socket, otherwise one needs not to tighten up the nuts with a rattle gun.
Undoing my wheel nuts today, and one would not budge, LR wheel brace started to bend like a banana as they do when you put a pipe on them.
Got out the sidchrome 1/2 drive set and 27mm socket, put pipe on the handle and oh crap - I thought I busted the wheel stud but to my chagrin the 1/2" drive socket extension broke. those wheel studs are strong, got it off with a FBH.
Is tight nuts a peculiarity with wolf rims, I never had it with std defer rims, and I do not over tighten them, I put a smear of grease on them when
I put them back.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Sidchrome is one brand I will no longer buy as I have had problems with them not replacing broken tools despite their guarantee. Have had tool shop owner say he would replace any other brand and then wait for the rep but not sidchrome
Cheers

Sidchrome refused to replace my 1/2" breaker bar that broke undoing wheel nuts done up by Beaurepair. (Got them undone by borrowing next doors 3/4" drive sockets)

that is pretty bad about them not honouring their life time guarentee i got some stanley which as far as i know is the same as sidchrome or a 2nds of them.but i have not had any breakages as of yet, back to the rattle gun i know of quite a few people ithat have had problems with tyre services doing wheel nuts up to tight. i personally do them up with a rattle gun and then just back it off so then i can tighten them up with the ratcet or breaker
My bloke uses a rattle gun and nips up with a torque wrench (hopefully set to an appropriate point).
3/4 breaker bar with single hex korken impact socket. Lives in the car with pipe in the back if needed. Broke 2 standard defender braces.
Fits the crank nut on the 300TDi too
i broke 1/2 sidchrome breaker and ratchet. They replaced breaker and repaired the ratchet. But was 20 years ago and both were my dads from 60s
They replacement policy changed many years back.
