Dodgy TPS connection near the plug.
Seems that a few wires can melt together, giving rough shifts and PWR light on at all times.
Can also indicate misfiring engine.............. check the plugs.
I'm trying to do a repair on mum's lanos.
There is a power mode on the Auto Shifter, pressing this in and out does not stop the flashing dash light.
The Auto really clunks into gear when drive or reverse is selected like the engine idle is too high when selecting gears. There is no sign of fluid loss and no dip stick on these to check level of fluid.
I downloaded a Daewoo workshop manual, but doesn't mention a flashing PWR light. I presume is got to be a fault warning for the Auto. As there is also a check engine light on the opposite side of the instrument panel, which would be of emissions etc.
Google has not been my friend, there is plenty of posts " flashing PWR" but no one seems to have a solution.
I am thinking that a trans module or something is playing up.
Any ideas?
Other wise it's getting it to a auto service place.
regards, Mario

A few reports showed the fault to be back down the loom a little bit, under the conduit and elect tape.
Good luck, either way.![]()
Thanks Mate, I'll take another drive over and check it again.
cheers, Mario
d@rk51d3, well took another drive down to mums and checked the connector and checked the wires under conduit and tape all ok.
I took a stepper and TPS of a Lanos at the wreckers on the way, as I though it it is these parts at least I had them on me. Only $18.
I also pulled the TPS out and replaced it with another one and it made no difference. Whilst I was there I pulled the IAC (stepper) and turn the key to the on position and found it did not move, I tried it with another Stepper and the same thing, it did not move when powered up. So I tried it with a piece of loom and plug , stripped the wire ends and tried it direct to battery and no movement. So I don't know how they work on a Daewoo.
After looking at the owners manual flashing PWR means fault with Transmission control module, or an electrical component.
So another wasted trip.
So I don't know where to call in a mobile auto electrician to have a play,
OR call a Auto trans specialist.
I found the Engine ECU, but don't know where the Auto control module is hidden.
look up under the dash there's not much to see except empty space, passenger side is fan box. Drivers kick panel, Engine ECU, passenger kick well cabin fuses.
Problem is Mums elderly and they can tell her anything and she would hand over her pension money.
Bugger.![]()
