    Holden Astra 2001 issues.

My MIL is visiting and she told me that she is getting a 3 amigo's style dash light error along with speedo not working and auto not shifting correctly.
This had a new genuine ECU from holden 2 years ago but is still giving these issues, if anyone has holdon experience with these we'd appreciate some advice - apart from selling or burning it.

After 19 years with holden i wouldnt spend 10 cents on a Astra I surely would not have bought one in the first place , Honestly they are worth nothing .
But seeing as it,s your MIL tell here to take it back to holden seeing as they never got it right in the first place

You need to get hold a obd interface and then get OPCOM which will allow you to read the fault codes. We have a Vectra in the family and Holden were pretty useless at fixing anything although that didn't stop them taking my money.

    Question

    Gotta disagree with you guys.
We bought a TS Astra new in 2005, did around 80Ks in it..ALWAYS had it serviced by the Dealer.....only problem..one waterpump..fixed under warranty.
We bought a S/H AH Astra SRI 2.2 abot 3 yrs ago, it is also serviced by the same Dealer, and it's been brilliant.
Don't know who's been servicing it, but if it's a Holden Dealer, I'd simply send it back, & tell 'em to fix it.
    Cheers, Pickles.

I was looking on ebay earlier for an obd cable to do just that.

If your anywhere near Glen Waverely you can use my OBD reader. You just need an app like TORQUE which is great.I use it on my LS1 Calais all the time. Its a great thing for fault finding.
