    RAVE

    hello,

I have a copy of rave, 6th edition, on USB.
It is 1500 odd pages long, but, only refers to the v8 engine in all the text relating to engines.
It relates to td5 in other areas.
    Am I missing something?

I downloaded another version last night.
So old it runs adobe 4.
Won't load in my new adobe!
I have done some netsearch, and the manual is seen on my computer as a drive, I use the green rave.exe logo and it does load but will not initiate the side panels, bookmarks.

    Any help greatly appreciated..

    Are the hardcover manuals better?

Rave by default is locked to acrobat 4, there are remastered versions out there that have been free raved, these are versions I use, they are unlocked and will work on any pdf reader or version of Acrobat reader. and any OS like mac or linux, I don't know if the versions sold in the AULRO market place are unlocked, best ask INC.

    Question FreeRave

I realise this topic is somewhat old hat, but as a new member and new LR owner I consider having the best information possible is the right way to go. I therefore obtained a copy of the relevant RAVE CD for my Freelander, but want to convert it from the CD and read in latest version of Adobe. I was therefore wondering whether anyone had a copy of the FreeRave1.36 software so I can perform this task. If anyone has this and is willing to share, would be grateful if (Admin approved of course) it could be sent to me via PM or most appropriate method?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I just copied the RAVE CD to my PC and run it from the PC. Acrobat runs from there. No problem.

RAVE sits as an icon on the taskbar, ready for use.

Thanks Ron. I have copied the CD to my PC, but when I click on the 'RAVE' icon all I get is the 'Welcome' and nothing else. I thought by converting it may be a little more convenient, not to mention being able to read the pages.
