    NSW - Front Bar requirements

I assume other states have something similar....it appears NSW have set a timeframe to comply.

Interesting read. I guess I'm off to ARB to get my "critical features" endorsement. The ARB logo might not be enough to comply.

gotta love the underlying logic of the rules. making a lump of steel on front a 2.5T projectile more pedestrian safe. The champered around the body edges of the bar means when you do an emergency avoidance manoeuvre the pedestrian will slip right off. It's gunna hurt no matter where the pedestrian makes contact.

I must say to me it's hard to disagree with the regulations.
I am surprised that the "pillar" type bullbars are going to be allowed as AFAIK previously these were to be banned.
The regulations are a big step forward for importers as previously they had to have an engineer certify that the each design passed ADRs. I assume now, as long as the bar meets the requirements they will not have to have individual certification.
