    Old WARN XP9000 Winch

I have a 20 year old XP9000 on my D2. All in perfect condition, but I have lost the cabled remote. $200+ seems excessive for a replacement. Is there a substitute available or with a wiring diagram could I build my own?
    Hoping somebody can help.
    Cheers,

You may need to get a warn controller. They're a good bit of kit in terms of how solid they are, but they're also a 5 wire setup to help prevent people from hotwiring your winch. 2 pins make the winch active, the other 3 pins are power, winch in and winch out.

I'm pretty sure almost every other winch controller is 3 wire setup, so just the power, in and out wires.

To go to a different winch controller, I suspect you're pretty much going to have to change the whole control box to suit.

I suspect your cheapest option however might be to either buy a used winch controller, or buying and installing a winch remote control kit.
    Cheers
