Nice, i had a mate back in trade school ( late 80's ) that had a siggy turbo and he did a full resto on it in about 88/89.
G'day all,
Thought I'd introduce you all to an extremely rare Aussie classic muscle car from the 80's. Don't laugh, these things used to be compared to the VK Brock Commonwhore back in the day. This one is #47 of the 500 built.
I've had the car since 1992 and it's been a bit of a toy for me. I used to like to play with hotted up Commodores when I was younger and just a little stupider (now old enough to know better, young enough to not care). I could flog a V8 Club Sport up to 120kph easily, but over that the Commy used to catch up. So I only ever raced them to 120 then backoff. I'd laugh at the guys in the Commy shock as they'd just been tromped by a SIGMA!
So back in 2012 I did my own restoration and took it back to every nut and bolt. It's not completely original. It's got a high comp 2.6 engine instead of the low comp 2.0. I've got twin piston VX Commodore brakes and a few other mods to make it drive a bit better like pwr steering, MSD ignition and the like.

As you say, an under appreciated Aussie muscle car.
Sweet.

Geeeez , it's a long time since I saw a Sigma , worked with a bloke who had one back in the late 80's early 90's .
Was a quick car , ate turbos tho !
He drove it fairly hard - then he got into Chargers and of course turboed them too !
Didnt Peter Wherret do a sigma turbo special? Had 15" wheels etc?
Cheers Rod
Nope. Just researched it. My bad

Noice fully sick mate
In the 80's I was working in a shearing gang in NZ, the farmer we were shearing for, was also the owner of a mitsi franchise. He took us for a spin, in then, what were the latest releases from Mitsi, a Tredia and a Cordia, I think the two models were called. They were both turbo and and they flew!!
Now that's a sleeper if ever I saw one!
