    We have had this discussion about Land Rovers Vs .... before.

    While people may have different opinions about their vehicles, we need to respect they have the right to do whatever to their vehicle. This is not the place for name calling.

    BTW: A question, if a series 1 Land Rover were to have a 101 Land Rover engine and transmission, would it still be a Land Rover?

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Each too there own, part of the appeal of the marque is the potential too modify and adapt too suit the owners need. Have at it I say!

    I once met a guy here in perth who did alot of landy diff/gearbox recons and he had a S1 with a 360 chyrsler V8 and 3 speed torque flight..


    That would be a fun S1!!

    I've been in a S1 with a V6 Capri motor in it. That went well.
    Rather than a Rover V8, would you consider a Commodore V6?
    Would that enable the engine to be moved forward a little so a LT95 could be used?

    i Was wondering when you were going to make a comment on this topic..............!

    i have a 186 in my Landy .......oops! was meant to say Hybrid......!LoL.....!
    I would have put mine back to origional but the previous owner never held onto the origional engine and at the time i thought id keep the donk as an example of what was done to these things to keep them going in the past time. But i have other Land Rovers with orig Engines in them so does that make me a believer? ............YES.......! LoL
