Talking Damaged or Broken Key Solution

    Hi All,

Just reporting a VERY cost efficient experience with getting my P38 Key repaired. Used this mob on the UK e-bay (refer link below). Turnaround was approx 2 weeks, he rebuilt the internals of mine which had dodgy buttons, missing and damaged battery contacts, no batteries, worn button cover and essentially could not work as a remote opening device (could only use key in door).

Cost of 55.99 GBP which is a little over 90 AUD plus I payed 20 AUD for tracked postage to the UK (they cover the return). My total spend around 110 AUD for what is functioning like a new key (bearing in mind thats only after one day!). The warranty is 90 days so I feel pretty happy that they back their work.

Will report any issues if/when they arise, but for now, its the best solution I have been able to find. Only complaint is Paypal seem to rip you off about 5% on their exchange rate. Thanks to 33chinacars who pointed this guy out a few "key query" threads ago.

Regards, Dave & the 'pretty pig'

P.S. Will tomorrow be sending my second key!

    For Willem

Hey Willem, This is the thread I was talking about. Was notified today that my second key is fixed and on its way home! $100 isn't chicken feed, but I tell you what it's great not having to walk to the drivers door every time!

I wonder if they can clone keys? I have only one and I can't get a second one as my lockset has been changed by a dealer and they didn't update the LR database with the new key no.

Hey 33chinacars, it was indeed a TOP suggestion! Wasn't sure who posted it earlier in the piece and credited Ron previously! Big up for you mate THEY ARE AN EASY (AND REASONABLY CHEAP) ALTERNATIVE FIX FOR DAMAGED KEYS!

Sorry Ron, not sure if they can do cloning... its worth asking though, they seem to have a few things going on.
