Moving over to the dark side

Not really, just picking up our new Discovery 4 HSE on Friday and handing over the keys of our MY2000 p38 which will be a sad day for us as we have had 10 years of good times. Fortunately we sold privately so i know she will be going to a good home for more of the same. I would like to say thankyou to the forum members for their input through these posts as it has given me the knowledge to tackle some of the problems associated with owning such a car.

PS I hope this Disco is better than the 94 model i had

Best wishes with your Disco 4 Dave. The HSE is a bl**dy nice car.

I hope you advised the buyer of your P38 to drop in here and say g'day.

    Cheers, Paul.

Good luck with the D4 dude! I have recently been a little on the nasty side with some of the P38 traders and honestly regret the comments... I should have been thinking of it as "each to their own", anyway, NO DOUBT you are in for a pleasurable experience!

Not sure what the LR name for it is, but did you get the all round camera system? I would love something like that for off roading (one day!).

    Hey, Dave,

I reckon the D4 - and the D3 - is brilliant and would suit my family to a T. But the P38 is doing a sterling job for us right now and is a bit more affordable. So ... excellent choice, and I hope it works out for you.

Good luck on the other side, make sure that you buy the special D4 recovery hitch....."A P38 RANGE ROVER"
