    Clicking noise from drive train

There is a clicking noise when i reverse my p38 range rover but only happens if i am turning. If i go backwards and forwards in a straight line there is no noise. It always happens when reversing out of a car park space, then clicks again as i go forward and straighten up. General driving around and turning corners there is no problem.

is it a "click" or loud metallic "clunk" ...if so check out the forward most bush housing of the rear control arms for wear around the rivets which constrain the bush housing... search Rangerovers.net on this ... if it is this, they can be drilled out and replaced with high tensile bolts...

    cheers
