Check the Idle Air Controller on the Throttle Body... Disconnect and Rec-Connect.

Also look at running with/without MAF and see if that helps...

did both this morning after searching here & googling.
pulled the IAC out, checked by starting engine that it moved cleaned all with carby cleaning refitted with a bit of permatex gasket, pulled MAF off checked running with/without drowned it in circuit board cleaner & refitted. no change on either count, it's also leeking oil from lower part of engine...a lot for a rebuild...so it's back to Austune, i'm not happy
found the knock in the front end, idler arm, so that's on the list for later.
