If you are sensible and time your trip 2 hours before or after low tide, you will be driving mostly on firm wet sand which is like a highway.
Just keep the speed down and be VERY watchful for water runs across the sand as these can drop 30CM or more and I can assure you are very hard to see.
The hardest bit will be on and off the barge unless you plan to drive to Central Station with a camper trailer which I do not think is advisable.
I think you can pull the fuse for ABS which will disable TT, but I will leave it to others who know more. From what I have read on the forum it is better off for starting off on sand. I have been with a 38 on a slimy track and he just couldn't get going.
