    Passenger side hot air only.

Hi all, I thought I'd give the A/C a run today in my 2001 HSE 4.6 RR and noticed cool air only coming out of the drivers side and hot air coming out the passenger side.
I've read a bit about the hevac motors playing up and causing similar issues.
The cheque book symbol has been coming on since I've had the vehicle (6 months), have not had the codes read for that as yet.
It seemed to be working fine before that.
Any advice on where to start looking here?

its most probably the blend motors, but the Hevac can cause the same fault.
get the codes read and cleared, check the live readings and try swapping hevacs.
this may even get a stuck blend motor going again.

Peter - if you are near Canberra, drop around and see me. I have a multi-vehicle licence on my FaultMate for the HVAC which will read and clear your fault.

    Cheers, Paul.

Equally, if you are near Penrith, I have a Testbook that can do it, too.

Thanks so much for the very generous offers PaulP38a and p38arover, I would definately take you up on that, only I live in Williamstown, west of Melbourne.
I was planning on aquiring a faultmate for myself anyway, maybe it will now happen sooner than later!
    Cheers, Pete.

    Ahh.

Update your profile to show your location (at least the general area).
