Dave - I'll bring my FaultMate down to Melbourne with me when we go the Range Rover show in a couple of weeks.
I have a multi-vehicle licence for the HVAC module so I can plug it in to your Rangie to find out what is going on.
Dunno what HVAC bits Andy has lying around at the moment. Best to drop him a line. I've got a few bits but no control panels.

Must be the season for it - my HEVAC packed up about three weeks ago ! Got a nice replacement on the way from the UK already though - bought for 99p :)
