    Question Wishful thinking?

    Hello there!

Anybody have any idea about the possibility of fitting 33 X 13.50 - 16 maxxis mudzilla's under my pretty pig (P38)?

They are currently on the mrs 100 series and I have a chance at changing her tyres up to some 35inch simex centipede's.

HRA's lift kit is going on the pig some time soon , so I am not worried about the height its more a matter of does 13.5 wide fit in and still allow clearance for articulation.

I am thinking its all being a bit too optimistic, anyone been anywhere near this width? Perhaps I should be looking to find the absolute ideal simex centipede size for the pig instead?

    Any comments appreciated. Cheers, Dave.

Hey Dave, I think it is a bit optimistic to get 13.5" wide tyres under the guards. You've seen the 255/85R16 (33" tall and 10" wide) Maxxis Bighorns on mine, but maybe not at articulation... the attached pic shows how close my tyres get when the other side is ready to lift off the ground (yeah, I know the back door is open ).

    Maybe another inch wider?

    Cheers, Paul.

they'll fit, just have to cut the guards a bit. You dont even need the lift, just cut it all out.

    i bet you wont though.

If you do it will look very very tough.

ps you will need custom rims.

How did I know Andy was going to say that? ... oh yeah, 'coz he keeps threatening to do it to mine... I'll do it AFTER you've done it to the grey one Andy

You could chop the buggery out of the guards but I doubt the rear doors would every seal properly again

    Cheers, Paul.

    Talking

Now come on Andy you know my 'pretty pig' is more Toorak than Tractor... maybe you could lead the way on all this cutting up P38's business.

I could be tempted to join you some time down the track when I have space to park more P38's and I'll definetley need something like yours to look at for guidance!!!!
