Do you have RAVE?
Sir, Ma'am, et,al.
I need help!
I just replaced the "O" rings in my EAS Valve block and unfortunately did not number the solenoids correctly, that was my first problem.
Second problem now that i THINK my solenoids are correct i cant get the EAS to work.
Before i moved the solenoids the EAS fault came up with 02: Pressure constantly high. The side that only has the 2 solenoids i have routed the 2 solenoids with the shorter cable to..
Symptoms;
Car can stay running and not EAS fault,
Air bags do have air in them but dont pump up,
If i apply the brakes when driving the valve block exhausts pressure,
when i turn the car off the valve block exhausts pressure,
when using the eas software and rising each bag individually while the correct solenoid moves only the front left bag pumps up.
What i have done;
I did run the compressor and attach the exhaust solenoid to each of the air springs (fill the tank up slightly and then de pressurise it to make each air bag rise accordingly)
This i hope rules out the air bag solenoids as the problem.
If someone knew what position in the plug each respective solenoid belonged to i could check to see if it is the solenoids.
I'm practically begging for a solution...
Stapels.

Yes i have the RAVE CD.
Thanks for your response,
Stapels.
Have a look at EAS Valve Block Renew PaulP38A.com
I recall getting two of my solenoids back in the wrong place when I did a rebuild a few years back. It took a while to figure that one out and I was sure I had got them right the first time. I resorted to using RAVE and chasing the wiring through.
I'm trying to find something on RRNET to help but haven't found it yet.

Again thanks, ill go through rave as for Paulp38a.com i did my rebuild in accordance with the website, and brought the "O" rings from him as well..

This is the in-progress diagram of which soienoid controls what... I think you found this today Jonnyjon05.
this diagram might also help

BTW, there is an error in the RAVE diagram of the valve block - but I can't remember what it is. I found it when I rebuilt mine.

I have conquered! Mostly...
I took the EAS block out again and looked at the wiring diagram, unfortunately 3 of my solenoids didn't match any of the colour combinations (IN, EXH, DIA).... Despite this the car works, it pumps it self up (5 mins) and though i know there may be leaks in the system i have a few questions,
My exhaust silencer has gone walkabout so its really quiet loud when the EAS exhausts air, this happens when i apply the brake and at random intervals, is this routine of exhausting air normal?
When i first got the car and it was left for a few hours the suspension would sag to the stops and take ages to raise, now i can leave it overnight and only the front sag (about one hour for front to sag) but takes 2 seconds to raise. Is this behaviour normal?
Despite me cracking the ****s when the system broke in the first place and after my repair had not fixed the problem first go, I have a conclusion ; (for those who want to hear it)
1. If you want to repair the system your self it is easy, just make sure you number your solenoids.
2. If you think the system is soft and temperamental, likely to fail your WRONG. I inspected the removed parts from my EAS and I am surprised mine worked at all.. i could fit my little finger though the split in my diaphragm, all of my valve stems o rings were hard brittle and broke during removal. Also the o rings that seal the two pieces of block together that house the non return valves also snapped on removal.
I wish I took photos to show you all.
Anyway thanks guys for convincing me to try things I thought I had already done,
Stapels.
Glad to hear you are getting on top of things
The exhaust letting off at random times is normal.
The car sagging overnight is not good but the fact it springs back up once the car is started is good.
I would arm myself with a spray bottle of water and detergent and check the hoses going into the valve block for leaks. If they are ok try the air spings where the hoses join then the air springs themselves.
After re-doing mine it took a week for everything to settle down .
