    Did a few outstanding jobs

List of things I did today and cant believe what can be saved by DIYing
    Renewed....

    2x cabin pollen Filters
    1x Engine Air Filter
    1x Engine oil filter
    6x litres engine oil
    I x Serpentine Belt
    1 CV Joint Assy
    1 CV Joint boot Kit
    1 axle end oil seal
Set front EBC Red Stuff brake pads
Total cost A$200 inc shipping costs. Apart from the oil and oil filter all parts came from the UK.

I took some pics whilst changing the CV Joint if anyone would like pointers. The Stake nut is a real challenge.

    goodonya Wayne.

We've started to get a few service kit components together like pollen filters, oil filter, air filter (model specific), oil drain plug. Maybe fuel filter for earlier P38's.

What else do you guys reckon is useful?

I'm not so keen on spark plugs as these may vary depending on LPG fitment and personal preference... still happy to consider though.

If we can get a volume of kit together we may be able to improve the savings a bit while the AUD is strong.

    Cheers, Paul.

    Serpentine belt

I always had a look at mine when my head is under the bonnet and it always appeared in good shape. When I got the old one off it was not that great, in fact there were a couple of areas that were quite rough with bits missing from the grooves. I am convince the general noise of the engine ticking over has improved with the new belt. An easy swap and very cheap from the UK plus its light weight

    My idea!!!

A set of HRA-AULRO "emergency swap out" parts/equipment in each state:

    - Reco'd EAS valve block
    - Reco'd EAS compressor
    - Re-soldered/fresh fuse block
    - Net book, cable and EAS unlock
    - Multi-license Faultmate

Rules of use: 48 hours turnaround, last user pays for a new one if part is no good for next user (checked in & out by HRA rep. on each use).

Sorry mate, I know its an expensive inventory but we all gotta dream every now and then!!!

Seriously though, the ZF Auto service kits aren't that expensive and probably worth having. And perhaps a little item I just bought a half dozen of (bnut haven't gotten around to doing anything about) fuel injector service kits (they include new O rings and filter baskets).

We would ned to check with Dave (BLKNIGHT.AUS) , but he created a manual EAS control box, using an old ECU that I supplied.

At the time he posted that he was willing to ship it to anyone in need on the basis that they paid for shipping and returned it in a reasonable time frame.

The manual controller is very useful when doing a valve block rebuild as it allows you to depressurise the system initially but also to test the rebuild as it allows you to open / close valves at will.

I think a reasonbly priced valve block swap out service would be quite popular, especially if it included the loan of the controller.
