    - Jeremy Fearn Intercooler and chipped (dyno mapped)
    - OE Warn Winch and front bull bar mount (eat your heart out)
    - Safety Devices full caged roof rack (eat your heart out)
    - Dual Battery
    - Recon head and turbo and aircon compressor (3k ago)
    - New radiator, condensor, viscous fan (all OE)
    - Arnotts airbags new 2 years ago
    - New Hevac
    - heaps more

    Vehicle has 2 problems:-

Will be repairing the Transmission soon, but thinking of selling as well.

    Will take some this weekend.
I do have photos, but they are like cheezy ones, me grinning, elephants around the rangie etc. Who wants to see that!
So, I will take some of the rack, the winch, the engine etc.

Give me a day or 2.

I have a 2.5 dse, and i am pleased with it. It was an impulse buy and i was a bit worried about it when i went on the uk based Landyzone forum. There are heaps of them over there and you either love them or hate them. One thing i gleaned from the forum is that you risk your life pulling out from a junction when they're cold as sluggish is a bit of an understatement, but once warmed up its ok. They are really economical and if driven on the cruise control they are actually quite peppy, especially if chipped (so i've heard)

They are not popular in NZ for some reason, and can be picked up for a reasonable price. Check out trademe.co.nz, there is usually at least one for sale on there.

I would swap mine for a number of vehicles, but only later model defenders or v6 diesel rangeys and i can't see that happening.

I'd be VERY interested in having a ride in it, just to see if I'm wasting my time wanting one....I've been thinking about my options to obtain one.

Did the transmission problem develop after Ron was in it?

    Diesel P38

With the price of a P38 at around $8-10k it would be a good project to try putting TD5 or a 300tdi in a rangie.

    P38 Rangie Diesel

I have a 99- P38 Diesel, absolutley fantastic vehicle; brought it over with us last year when we emmigrated from the UK, we have owned it since 2004.
before I left it had new suspension, new full head, ball joints, front and rear props, new discs and pads all round, top to bottom service and new general grabber 18" tyres.
all in all, a bloody fortune - because the wife loves her car.
