might start by checking the earthing...
cheers
Hi all, been a while since my last post.
Getting through most of the big issues. Now down to the smaller ones.
Like the stereo.
I get a high pitch hum coming through the LH front speaker/s. If I turn the radio off for a while it stops, only to appear again a few minutes after I turn it back on. I have tried changing the door amp but still same. Happens regardless of input being radio or cd.
Any ideas how to fault find or what to try next?
Cheers
Dean

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
if you have the standard head unit (Diversity/9836A) they are nornally the cause and can be repaired for approx $150-$200 depending on the fault.
i can try a test unit to confirm the fault if you are around the Bexley area or arrange to meet at TR Spares Padstow.
How is next Saturday Rupert. I'm over on the Northern Beaches so not that close. Could meet at TR spares sometime Saturday if that works for you.
Sat 16th is fine, but it may have to be at my place in Bexley as TR Spares is shut.
how far north is your place?
I'll private message you
