    Ah! Hubris

My best mate is up from Sydney so I thought I would Show off my recently aquired P38A and Faultmate...silly me.
ABS not licenced!! EMS not licenced. HEVAC...ah a winner! read faults...1,
45 Aspirator In car temp sensor circ open or shorted to 12V. I try to clear this and all goes bad HEVAC display, instrument warning lights are flashing
needlles twitching in sympathy and continuous beeping, connection to faultmate lost.....what have I done??
I knew about the sensor where can I get a working one, prefareably new.
How do I stop the flashing display and why have I lost the car to Faultmate connection
My ever loving wife patted me gently on the shoulder and asked if the love afair was now over, and, had she got me back. I said truthfully, no it wasn't but as she well knew she had never lost me. Such is love ...for wives..and Bloody Range Rovers.

it could be a low voltage fault, try turning the ignition off putting a charger on the battery and starting again.

Once again all is fixed up....a fuse problem or maybe its just attention seeking behavior. Is jealosy a problem when you have more than one Range Rover??

Over the past few days, my wife's Freelander has had received more TLC than the P38 (and my wife ). At least my wife is happy that it is running smoother since Andy and I did a fairly major service on it Monday night.
Didn't bother plugging in the Faultmate as no faults seemed apparent. Maybe I should to be sure to be sure...

Funny side note: Andy brought a smooth mate along called Jim B Black or something... all he did was make the Coke disappear and distract us until he went away and then my mate called Heinekin appeared out of the blue (green?)... don't remember much after that but the car worked ok in the morning and the recycling bin seemed quite heavy

Now the Freebie is parked in the nice warm garage with red carpet on the floor while the P38 is outside in the cold Canberra/QBN weather.

I'm not sure the P38 will even start for me in the morning due to jealousy. I'll take her to visit her pretty black twin over Easter... that should cheer her up a bit.

    Cheers
    Paul.
