Air Bag Fault.
Range Rover P38 4.0 1995.
When I took delivery of this vehicle, "Air Bag Fault" message appears on the dash and remains to this day. Can someone advise me if this would cause any problems if this is not rectified and how to rectify it.
Tks

is the SRS warning light on as well?
if it is, it means that some parts of the SRS system may not work. it could be as simple as a flat battery or bad connection, but if it has logged a hard fault, it needs a scanner to clear it. if no one locally has suitable equipment, pull the ecu out from under the centre console cubby box, post it over to me. i will clear the codes, give you details of the faults and send it back.
if the light is not on and "AIR BAG FAULT" still comes up on the display then it is probably caused by low battery voltage or a bad earth. try checking some main connections, fully charging the battery and doing a hard reset.
