Thread: EAS and Gearbox relationship???

If the vehicle is in gear and/or the footbrake applied, the EAS won't alter its settings. However when you stop at traffic lights and let the vehicle just "sit" in neutral...without foot on brake or just touching it lightly, the EAS will make any minor adjustments needed: these could be due to the wheels sitting unevenly due to major road surface irregularities or more likely, minor compensations in height due to a (small) system leak somewhere ... it does not necessarily reflect on the height setting switch because the adjustment "needed" may be simply fine tuning within the range for a specific height.

While driving between traffic light stops, press the button to lock the EAS in a particular range and see if it still changes at the lights as above. (This is a guaranteed strategy to ensure you encounter a string of "green" traffic lights)
