    Broken engine mount? (see pic)

    Does this pic look like the engine mount rubber is broken? It is the best pic I could take.

    When I rev the engine, I dont get any obvious scary movement at that point, but it does look like a crack to me. The rubber doesnt appear to be hard and perished.

    It is the passenger side mount, and the pic is taken from the top.

    Really Hoges? Id love to know why, I bet there are a thousand commodores and falcons driving around with busted mounts and I feel no obvious effects.

    me thinks a different type of "broken rubber" is being referenced.

    I did a write up with pics when I changed both my Engine mounts, The N/S one is easy enough to do but the O/S takes a bit of thought. Rave says remove the steering shaft. In my write up I documented the way I managed to do it without removing the shaft.

    This is wayneg's engine mount thread. I have changed my passenger side mount and updated my results there.
