    Hi Everyone:
    Cut long story short... purchased the Mark Adams/RPI Engineering Tornado Chip for my MY 95 P38 about 3/4 months ago and hit a roadblock due to the Oxygen Sensor's on my car...

    Basically I purchased the ERR1834 Oxygen Sensors for my car, knowing that I'd need to weld on a Nut to the Exhaust because my Car didn't have Oxy Sensors to begin with...

    However the issue I have now is that
    1) the Connector on the Oxy Sensor is different to what I have on my car
    2) One of the Oxy Sensors Connectors has been "ripped off" and is now just bare wires covered in Electrical Tape.

    So I guess what I'm asking/suggesting is

    1) Is ERR1834 the Correct Oxygen Sensor for my 1995 GEMS 4.6 V8 P38?
    2) Considering these Oxygen Sensors will likely outlive my Vehicle can I simply splice/crimp the Wires from the Car to the Cable. The ERR1834 has White, Red, Black & Orange/Yellow Cable on them... any idea what these apply to from the Engine Loom?

    I just had a short search and they look like the correct sensors.

    This site is helpful in IDing the wire functions.

    Just Lambda, Landrover lambda sensors, Bosch and NTK zirconia and titania sensors by post

    Are you sure that your car has the wiring to the ECU?
    I would get a wiring diagram and check that the wires exist into the GEMS plug.
    The reason I say this is that the 14CUX RRCs that came to OZ without sensors did not have any of the wiring, and I had to run new wires into the ECU plug and to get power

    PhilipA: The Car has 2 x Looms running down either side of the Exhaust Manifolds which seem exactly what is required for Oxy Sensors... they both have 4 x Wires as well..

    Well what is the problem?
    The wiring codes for O2 sensors are standardised, if you have a look at the site I listed.
    Just work out which is which and splice them up, seeing you have a ruined plug. The other one should just plug in and if not do the same and splice them in.
    I am pretty sure in GEMS that the ECU should recognise the O2 sensors but if not you may have to Testbook it.

    I'd read previously that some O2 Sensors have a Resistance in the Wiring that you don't want to mess with... but thanks to your Web Link I'll Solder them up and go from there...

    According to Junosi who's done a similar thing, you just Plug in the RPI Modules and the O2 Sensors are activated...

    I'd read previously that some O2 Sensors have a Resistance in the Wiring that you don't want to mess with.
    I don't know much about GEMS, but what I think you read about is that you have to change the "tune resistor" in a 14CUX for it to see the O2 sensors and use the O2 sensor map. The ECU depends on the tune resistor to select maps for different countries. They are all loaded into the ECU and it chooses a map based on the resistance .
