Dont know the people or situation involved. Sure got whacked though. Both front airbags went off. No blood in the cabin

One doesn't need to cut any pipes or ducts to get access to the blend motor screws. The ducts pull off after removing a couple of screws.
We have had this discussion Ron, see here, while I believe you, others have had no chance of moving the drivers vertical duct to get to the blend motors.
