    Plenum Chamber Piping

Searched high and low. Can someone identify the pipes that exit the righ hand side of the plenum chamber on a RR 2001 4.6 Bosch engine for me.
One looks like water, one is blanked (what is/was its purpose) and the third is a small nipple exit. Mine was found to be open to atmosphere. Mech who did the heads gaskets for me last week noticed it - but if it normally has a pipe attached, where does it go? What's it for? In the mean time we have blanked it. Stop the mossies flying in.....
    I have attached photo.

ALSO FYInterest- photo of what was the head gasket....

    Thanks

The fitting with the hose and clamp is the breather from the rocker cover; the one with the red collar (red arrow) is a breather of some sort and what you photographed is the normal configuration. It is meant to be 'loose' and should not be blanked off. The covered nipple is listed in MicroCat as an "adaptor" but is unused on models landed in Australia.
All seems normal in your photo

What hoges said is correct, your setup is as normal. The fitting with the red collar is supposed to jiggle!
