    drivers window problems

have had problems with my drivers door electric window and have taken door apart to reveal the regulator and window pane. The bottom regulator arms have a swivel foot on them which appears to be or should be located in a track (one each side of the window pane base).
Mine have come out of the tracks and whilst I can get one side in ok getting the other has proved an issue.
What is the trick to this?

Dont know if this relates but there is a common problem with the drivers door regulator. They can be repaired but they are cheap enough from the UK. My car came with a receipt for $750 for it to be supplied and fitted. DIY would be a fraction of that
There are also runner repair parts on ebay UK for a few $$

The regulator isn't broken and all the teeth appear in good order but somehow the two bottom feet have come out of their tracks.I have mucked around in the dark with it for half an hour and I cant seem to be able to secure the feet back into place , getting one side in is no problem.
Everything works ok except for the operating feet being out.

No idea where these go but they come up under regulator repair. Maybe something to do with your problem?
I thought the regulators were prone to cracking and twisting not just loosing teeth.

Yes they are the "feet" I was referring to that are located on the bottom of the swing arms of the regulator
I note that they clip on to the regulator arm so they are obviously located in their tracks first and then clipped onto the regulator not how I have been trying
    Thanks guys

I had a problem where the galvanised brace had cracked almost all the way through, causing the window to move as it went up and down.

Check yours is OK (see pic)

Needed to replace the window mechanism which I bought cheaply from Britparts.

No the brace and all do not appear to have any signs of cracking and not sure how the feet came out of the track in the first place
I have taken the foot or slider off one of the regulator arms and have put back together. Now all works but clunks a bit and not convinced it's all good
The whole door was replaced last yearfrom an accident so I am now going to take it back to the repaired to fix itall as it has also scratched the tinting film when it **** itself
Apparently the repair carries a 3 year warranty so may as well use it
