Water leak
Hi guys! Have been losing water on my 4.6 P38 lately and until now didn't know where it was coming from. I have found a leak at the front outer corner of the left hand cyl head. just wondering if retensioning that particular head bolt might stop the leak? sure hope so...

Sadly no...they're stretch bolts so overtensioning may cause it to go into the "plastic" state and snap.
Some 40,000km /5yrs ago I had a similar problem...was miles from home and so put a can of Barsleaks "Stopleak BL340" into the top radiator hose. It sealed it up. No problems since...
I later learned that Barsleaks product is used on the assembly line of major engine manufacturers for treating porous blocks ...
Simple remedies are best if they work...
