    FOB suddenly stopped talking

Had an unusual problem today when the car key FOB refused to activate the unlock or lock.
The FOB batteries are relatively new and the light activates when the buttons are pushed but nothing responds from the car. This has happened suddenly. Is this likely to be a fuse fault on the receiver side? or best to look elsewhere. Doors all lock and unlock centrally when done by key.

Problem fixed by inserting key in door lock and pressing lock button on FOB whilst turning key to lock position for 3 seconds then back to upright and then removing key (lock buttoned depressed on Fob during whole process).
Apparently the Fob code can "roll out" of sync.
This process resyncs it all at least it did for me. No more key code to start the beast

I've also heard that sometimes just putting the key in the ignition doesn't complete the synch, however, driving the car for 6 minutes with the key in will do it.

Spoke to soon, The issue has occured again this morning.
Given that previously I could reset and the FOB was communicating and everything was operable, what is behind this?
Dave , what's next on your list? as when I did the driver's door lock trick this morning it didnt work. Had to do the key access code to start the car up again and now leaving the car open.
    Any thoughts?

OK have now confirmed the problem is within the FOB itself.
took rubber pad off fob and metal buttons have moved and will have to strip it down and repair the solder joint or keep the cover off and use a sharp pencil to activate the buttons

Did you read my post about the same lockout happening each time I park in the same Telstra Exchange. Is it happening to you in the same spot?. At least you have the access code to get it re-set

No Wayne mine is not related to any particular parking spot. It happens everywhere and I believe it is the connections within the FOB itself.
The little metal buttons ( normally centred) in the holes have gone walkabout under the silver metal plate. I will have to pull the thing apart and hopefully reattached and secure the connections.
God knows what awaits inside and I havent a clue of how it is suppose to be done but what the hell I can always use the hammer.

Problem is like many....I only have one key so sending it off is a no go.
At least I have found the little metal buttons now and have no idea how they go back on as yet as can't open the case up. Gave up last night.
I will have another go at it tonight if I get the time.
