    Switch globes

I have replaced a few blown bulbs today.
Cruise control switch bulb and the EAS override bulb.
Question, why is there a green and an orange bulb in each one?
My cruise is on the blink ATM, when the cruise is active does the light change from orange too green?

The green is for backlighting (when the dash lights are on), the orange globe is the 'switch on' indicator.

Some switches have 2 green globes (the genuine driving light switch does anyway).
