    RR L322 Wheels on P38

Ive got a set of 19" Wheels off an 04 L322, that I would like to fit to my 95 P38 HSE. Does anyone know where is OZ I can get a set of spigot reducer rings and lug nuts to fit at a good price? Cheers.

Speedy Wheels (or wheelz?) for the spigot collar, and ebay or your local LR workshop for nuts, be prepared to spend up on nuts, they aren't exactly cheap.

    Cheers

Thanks Will, can you confirm that I just need L322 nuts? Cheers.

Yeah all you need for the conversion are the nuts and the collars. You WILL need a new wheelbrace too you'd look a bit silly with a flat and the old one haha, this can and IMO should be improvised with a 6 point socket in the right size and breaker ba, or better still a torque wrench.

    Try eBay UK too.

Just make sure you get the right nuts for your wheels. They changed through the life of the LM/L322.

Can someone explain to me please the reason for this obsession with ever larger wheels, given that the overall diameter of the wheel+tyre needs to remain approx the same as for a 16" setup ...which means a lower side wall for 19" tyres with consequent degradation in ride quality and questionable improvement in handling...sorry...I don't get it

Its a trendy look. Some people like stickers or extra chrome or black rims. Sort of like when everyone used to wear dunlop volleys or addidas rome's in the early 80's... ya know, fashion... ultimately, I think its a bling (dress up) thing!

It's exactly that - like the lads who put 22" wheels on their dual cab utes, purely fashion! Each to their own I say, if they like it good on them!

I put 18" RRS wheels on my P38A 'cos they were new and came with new road tyres (as opposed to all-terrains) for a price similar to what I could buy 2 road tyres alone. And they are much quieter than my 16" rims with Cooper ST tyres.

Geez that's a nice P38a Ron, should be very proud of that car.

I guess people just like the different wheel styles, and big wheels are in fashion, personally i like 18's for the road and 16's offroad, however i've got 16" deep dish alloys on my D1, and the D2 has 16's on it too. But when the D2 is mine i plan to get some 18's for the road.

    Cheers
    Will
